There are risks to you and your cash when purchasing a used Subarus of any caliber. Of course, there are also hazards to your safety. That holds true in this situation just as much as it does in any other, especially when the automobile is a supercar like a Lamborghini. The cost of repairs is only slightly more expensive if there is a problem.
A client recently showed this when they found a problem with the Lamborghini they had just bought from a car dealer in Leeds. They had the car checked out, and Klavs, the founder of CarExamer, was able to see the problem for himself. So, the dealer said he would fix the problem for tens of thousands of pounds after trying to get the buyer to pay for it himself and saying that our inspection wasn’t valid.
What Happened Next Was as Follows
the difficulties The new owner of the Lamborghini first heard a knocking and clanking sound when going over speed bumps, which was a problem. Carexamer’s investigation showed that the noise was definitely coming from the front suspension, which was very annoying to the driver as they drove around London. In addition to this, the airbag light began to come on and stayed on all the time. This is not only extremely unpleasant, beeping every 5 to 10 minutes while driving, but it also poses a risk to the driver’s and their passenger’s safety should something go wrong. These two issues are both unacceptable and unresolvable.
The Fault Game
After these problems with the very wanted Ferrari happened, the blame game that followed was typical of used car purchases that go wrong. The customer called a car dealer in Leeds and complained that the front suspension is noisy, which makes them unhappy as well.
The dealer could have done the right thing and admitted these flaws as defects in the vehicle when it was purchased, but instead, they chose to deny any responsibility for the problems. Instead, they told the client that the best way to fix the problem would be to rebuild the whole suspension system, which would cost £30,000. After talking with the client about it, this quote was changed to £16k for just the broken suspension parts instead of the whole unit. However, even this is not the proper course of action in this case, so it was time to seek counsel from the source.
The Solution
At this point, they went to HR Owen and, through them, Lamborghini to get to the bottom of the problem and, ideally, help the client show that their inspection was right and that the mistake wasn’t their fault. Since the dealer (who could have done this for the client just as quickly) was not interested, Lamborghini will pay to collect and drop off should anything go wrong that isn’t the driver’s fault under the Lamborghini warranty that comes with the car, which would be the ideal situation in this case. Lamborghini complied and picked me up the next day. I then detailed the front suspension and airbag light as well as the seat vibration that developed when the tracking system was installed by the auto dealer in Leeds.
When Lamborghini called, they took a video of the issue, admitted there was a suspension noise, and the suspension arm (strut) was examined. The brand itself acknowledged the issue right away, even though it couldn’t be seen but was easily audible. Lamborghini did what the buyer asked and fixed the car’s other problems as well as replaced the suspension struts. In the end, it was obvious that the Leeds seller had been dishonest with the client, and to cover their own backs, they had just discredited everyone involved,
Even when the men from Leeds claimed there was no problem and advised the customer to purchase another car, Klavs was correct the entire time he inspected. All of this serves to demonstrate how hazardous car purchasing can be on every level and that it is always preferable to get a second opinion before committing to something that may cost you thousands of dollars if you don’t.
